THOON is charged with leading the health strategy for Ngapuhi, serving whānau, hapū and hāpori living within Te Whare Tapu O Ngāpuhi, whether Māori or non Māori. THOON is the Iwi hauora provider based in the main centre of Kaikohe. They deliver services to all age groups from Pepi to Kaumatua and Kuia within the boundaries of Te Whare Tapu o Ngapuhi.They are an organisation committed to making their community safe, healthy and vibrant.

Te Hiku Hauora is the largest provider of primary health care services in the Te Hiku (Far North) region. They offer accessible primary health care to the Far North community, focusing on the high needs of the Māori community.Te Hiku Hauora provide a variety of services and programmes for babies, children, youth, adults and the elderly. Whether you need GP or Dental services, Mobile Nursing, Health Promotion or Home Support, they are there to help you.They are committed to making their services available to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances or background; many of their services and programmes are free.

Te Kotahitanga E Mahi Kaha Trust (TKEMKT) delivers programmes that improve the social, cultural, environmental and economic outcomes for local people in the Kaikohe region.This includes:• Employment and business pathways• Youth and whanau support services• Life coaching and mentoring services• Whanau well-being programmes for local people predominately Māori with low or no qualifications and multiple barriers to successful employment or further progressive training.Open 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. All services free of charge. Referral via whānau or health provider required.

Te Mana Motuhake ā Rohe o Whangārei can offer assistance in connection with marae and hapu. They also check in on the local community and make referrals to health and social providers when necessary.

Te Mana Oranga Trust provides support to those who suffer mental health and addiction challenges in the mid and far north areas, both in a Residential setting (24hour care) and to those who live in the community. Their support also extends into the GP services through their Health Coaches and the employment sector through their Employment Coaches.Referral may be required.

Te Ora Hou is a national network of faith-based Māori youth and community development groups.They work with young people to ensure that they are provided with the support, space, time and resources they need to reach their full potential. This is done by guiding those who need it through life's inequities and hurdles and providing them with the basic essentials they need to grow, learn and flourish in Aotearoa.

At Te Puna O Te Aroha Māori Women's Refuge, they provide support and information to wāhine, tamariki and whānau to live free from any form of family violence. They have a 24/7 CRISIS LINE (09) 437 2127.They support a pathway to safety, regardless of ethnicity, gender identity or socio-economic circumstances.

Te Puni Kōkiri work across government and the private sector to support Māori development. They provide support, information, and opportunities to Māori through a range of organisations, including Te Puni Kōkiri. Please visit their website for more information.

Te Runanga o Whaingaroa focus on the delivery of Whānau Ora holistic services to all resident families/whanau and individuals seeking assistance in their geographic area.Services include:• Social well being • Health • Education • Housing Repairs• Emergency Housing• General information/advice services.They also offer free access to help such as social workers, financial capability budget mentoring, In-home education for under 3's, driver licensing assistance, transitional housing and whanau ora planning.

Te Uri O Hau Tangata provides social support services to the wider Kaipara area, including home based support to whanau and tamariki. Their practice framework is based upon traditional beliefs, principles and ways of being embedded within Te Ao Maori, while also being holistic and strengths based. Their primary focus is on tamariki, while they also support and assist whanau to address issues/needs/concerns and encourage them in their pursuit of positive change.Open Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm. The name Te Whare Ruruhau o Meri implies a place of sanctuary, a house of shelter, and a source of comfort for those in need of a safe place. Within the sanctuary a person, or a whānau, will find hope, compassion and manaakitanga (hospitality). As a kaupapa Māori social service provider, the organisation has developed an indigenous social services practice model ‘te kawa o te marae’ to embed tikanga Māori (Māori culture) as a solution for whānau to establish pathways to wholeness and wellbeing. The Trust provides professional counselling, programmes, and social work advocacy services.

Tuhiata Mahiora provides mental health and addiction services to whānau in Te Taitokerau. Their goal is to increase personal growth for whānau to strengthen their belief in themselves and their abilities to make changes around their mental well-being, emotional regulation, alcohol and drug use, relationships, and social connections. Their mental health and addiction services incorporate one-to-one counselling, group therapy, whānau hui, workshops and wrap-around whānau support.

Whakamana Tangata is a peer support space, 100% led by and for those with lived experience of recovery from a mental health condition, substance use disorder, or both. All of their services and advocacy iniatives are led by those the services are intended for. Every community is unique and nobody can understand needs, culture, and nuances like members from the community itself. A peer support worker walks alongside people and provides support to others experiencing similar challenges. They provide non- clinical, strengths-based support and are “experientially credentialed” by their own recovery journey.

Whakaoranga Whanau Recovery Hub are a kaupapa Māori AOD community support service in Kaikohe. They're a team of passionate individuals who have lived experience. They work together and collaborate with other health providers to strengthen, educate and empower individuals to reach their full potential. They take a holistic approach when it comes to treatment. Behind the individual there's roopu, whanau, hinengaro, tinana and wairua. Addiction only accounts for a fraction of the recovery process. Monday to Friday, 10am until 3pm.

Whakawhiti Ora Pai Community Health Centre provides a range of health & wellbeing services.
