A Girl Called Hope provide a range of holistic wellbeing programmes and courses to strengthen the resilience, self-esteem and wellbeing of young women, motivated for change. Online and in-person courses are available to anyone 16yrs+.

Breast Cancer Support Northland Trust provide a practical and emotional support service for those residents in Northland who are experiencing a Breast Cancer diagnosis. When ladies are first diagnosed one of their specially trained volunteers will contact them and support them through their journey. Their volunteer support people are women who have been through the Breast Cancer journey. Their support can be practical such as a $200 financial payment, frozen meals, knitted knockers and support coffee mornings.

BreastScreen Waitematā Northland is part of BreastScreen Aotearoa, the national breast screening programme for women aged 45 - 69 years. The aim of this programme is to reduce the number of women dying from Breast Cancer by offering FREE screening mammograms (and follow-up assessments if necessary) to eligible women every 2 years.They also have a Mobile Screening Unit that visits various locations.For more information visit their website or call 0800270200.

Dignity provide free period products through their two impact initiatives for people without access to these products.

Dress for Success is dedicated to empowering women and helping them attain economic independence. It aims to provide women with the support and the tools they need to gain employment and financial independence so they can provide for their families and feel self-empowered and confident. They can help with clothing, confidence and career support.

Endometriosis New Zealand represents the tens of thousands of girls, women, and those assigned female at birth, who live with endometriosis in New Zealand and they work with those who treat the condition and researchers to find solutions. They provide unique and professional services and programs to reach individuals, communities, workplaces, and all stakeholders involved in improving health outcomes for those with endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain.

Family Planning is a national organisation that provides support with sexual and reproductive health. Working with people of any gender, age, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Questions or worries about breastfeeding? Accredited La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have been trained to provide information and support for breastfeeding. Manaaki Kakano offer assessment, treatment and advice for all women/caregivers who have developed a mental illness during or related to the perinatal phase.

MSCC provides maternity information and support about options for maternity care and produces evidence based resources on pregnancy and birth choices.The objective of MSCC is to highlight the need for and availability of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care options. They encourage women and their families/whanau to participate fully in their pregnancy and birth care and parenting.

Miscarriage Support provide:• A Facebook Group which is a safe haven for women to talk about their loss/losses. Women are allowed to post about anything regarding to miscarriages, TTC, fertility and rainbows. • Information and resources via their comprehensive website • Miscarriage Counselling (this does incur a cost)

Mothers Helpers mission is to prevent Perinatal (Antenatal and postnatal) depression or anxiety from occurring and reduce the impact it has on your life, your family’s life and your child’s life. They do this by providing you with support and recovery. Their PND Recovery ‘Out of the Fog’ courses are available nationwide – both online and face-to-face (depending on demand for face-to-face in that area).

The New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation (NZGCF) mission is to educate women and the wider community about the signs and symptoms of gynaecological cancers as early detection can help save lives. NZGCF aims to support women who are affected by gynaecological cancers in all stages of their journey.

Positive Women Inc. is a support organisation for women and families living with and affected by HIV. They also provide HIV awareness through educational programmes with a focus on education and de-stigmatisation.

Sands NZ provide support, information and empathy for those affected by the death of a baby, in any circumstances and at any gestation. The Whangarei Homebirth Support Group consists of a small and friendly group of mums who are there to provide support to families who are thinking about/planning a homebirth or are interested in natural birth.

WINGS is a community based non-profit organisation for women. A friendship network where women can exchange traditions and knowledge, share settlement issues, build connections and create a sense of belonging in their community. WINGS welcome women from all around the world and all parts of New Zealand. It is a great way to meet people and to become a part of the local community.
