We work with concerned others and support families/whanau to stay well when their loved ones are struggling with an alcohol or other drug problem.

Overview
Beginning Experience is a non-profit organization designed to support and enable adults grieving the loss of a love relationship through death, divorce or separation. They have live-in weekend programmes held once a year in Auckland only. They draw people nationally due to the unique format. It begins on Friday evenings and concludes on Sunday afternoons. People learn new skills to deal with the pain of their loss and report increased emotional health and renewed energy.

Grow does not provide professional counselling services but we do provide mutual help from people who have experienced some mental health episode in their life and have found the Grow programe to be incredibly useful and inexpensive.  Group Organisers have been trained from within the organisation. The Blue Book is a resource booklet full of wisdoms and educational solutions which have worked for thousands of people since Grow groups originated over 60 years ago.  The booklet has been continually revised.

    We aim to make our counselling accessible to all. We ask our clients to make a contribution towards Home & Family Counselling. Our counsellors can guide you as to an appropriate voluntary contribution based on your income.

    Suggested voluntary contributions range from $30.00 up to $150 per session for an individual; between $35.00 to $160 for couples or $40 to $170 for a family session.

    Any voluntary contribution towards Home & Family Counselling above $125.00 will assist us to help other people in need.
