Addictive Eaters Anonymous (AEA) is a worldwide Twelve Step fellowship based on Alcoholics Anonymous. AEA members have found recovery from binge eating, anorexia, bulimia, other forms of addictive eating and compulsive exercise. Through working the Twelve Steps of AEA members find peace of mind and the ability to live a meaningful and productive life. AEA have several regular Zoom meetings each week to which all are welcome. Alateen is a fellowship of young Al-Anon members, usually teenagers, whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. Asian Family Services is contracted by the Ministry of Health to provide free support for gamblers, family members and other people who are negatively affected by someone else’s problem gambling either in the past or at present. These services include one-on-one counselling services, couple counselling, group counselling and other social work services. Their services are offered in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai and Hindi. An interpreter can be arranged for other languages.

Brave Hearts NZ provide phone, online and face to face support including group meetings for whanau with an addicted family member.

AP is an intensive programme for people who are looking to be free of alcohol and other drugs. It can be a helpful option for people who might be thinking about residential treatment. The programme is based on the 12 steps and people are encouraged to also attend 12-Step meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.

Altered High is a team of health professionals that help young people aged 13 - 19 with concerns about their own, or someone else's, alcohol or drug use. They are a mobile community service which travels to see young people in an environment most suitable for them such as at school or at work.

CADS offer a range of free services for people using alcohol and other drugs and their family and friends: Information about alcohol and other drugs Individual and family counselling Referral to other health professionals Free interpreters (more than 20 languages) All their services are facilitated by professional alcohol and drug clinicians. Some CADS staff are fluent in the main Asian languages.

Auckland Opioid Treatment Service (AOTS) offers fully funded methadone or buprenorphine/naloxone for people dependent on opioids. Ongoing treatment or short-term reduction plans are available from a team of doctors, key workers, pharmacists, and GPs. Through medication and support people can achieve stability in their lives. If you are concerned about your own or someone else's use of opioids give AOTS a call.

CADS Medical Detoxification services are for people who have a physical dependence on alcohol and other drugs (e.g. methamphetamines, benzos, opiates) and who require medical support to withdraw from or reduce their use or to stabilise on medications. CADS provides medically managed withdrawal support through two services: CHDS/Community and Home Detox Service: the team can support you at home or in the community The in-patient unit: for people who need 24 hour medical supervision.

CADS Older Adults service is for adults usually aged over 65 who are concerned about their own or someone else’s use of alcohol and other drugs. This includes prescribed medications. CADS have experienced alcohol and other drug clinicians who offer a wide range of support including: Detoxification Education Medication Co-ordination with other services Visits to homes, hospitals and rest home visits may be an option depending on the mobility and situation of the person being seen.

CADS Pregnancy and Parental Service (PPS) are a mobile team who provide assessment, information, and support to pregnant women and parents of children under 3 years of age.

CADS provide specialist counselling, group support and information to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (Rainbow) communities in Auckland. They have a designated Rainbow clinician for the adult service and a LGBTI clinician in the youth service (Altered High) Each CADS unit/service has a clinician with a specialist interest in sexuality and gender diversity All CADS clinicians receive training in working effectively with Rainbow people

Te Ātea Marino provides a mana enhancing and mana protective service to all tangata whai i te ora who present with substance issues and who are seeking help and support. They offer group and counselling interventions for individuals aged 13 years and over; providing support around identity and connection. Their goal is to provide you with a counselling experience aimed at achieving your recovery goals so you emerge with enhanced mana and rangitiratanga.

Tupu is a team of Pacific Island practitioners who support Pacific people and their aiga/fanau/magafaoa who have alcohol and/or other drugs and/or gambling issues, problems or questions. They offer a range of free support services delivered in a culturally relevant way: Consultation Assessment Individual counselling/ talanoa Group support (some groups are available after hours)

The Debt Gambling Helpline is a 24 hour, freephone helpline for those worried about gambling or the gambling of others. You can call them to receive immediate support, to be referred to another gambling support organisation, or for information services for problem gambling. Their experienced financial counsellors are trained to work with you around gambling problems and gambling debt.

EaseUp is a mobile community-based service that supports youth who are experiencing challenges with their mental wellbeing and/or alcohol and other drug issues. EaseUp is made up of Peer Support Workers and Clinicians who work in partnership with the young person. The service provides holistic support to fit the needs of young person, which is delivered where the young person feels most comfortable.
